Quick Tax Guide 2023-24

Personal Allowance £12,570

Your Personal Allowance goes down by £1 for every £2 that your adjusted net income is above £100,000. This means your allowance is zero if your income is £125,140 or above.
Basic Rate 20%. £12,571 - £50,270.

The basic rate applies on taxable income earned above the personal allowance, up to the threshold of £50,570.

Higher Rate 40%. £50,271 - £125,140.

The higher rate applies on taxable income earned above the personal allowance and basic rate threshold, up to taxable income of £125,140.
Additional Rate 45%. Over £125,140.
